Quality Assurance
We at Arkitekterne Bjørk og Maigård ApS have developed our own quality assurance system, and through daily use hereof we strive towards a continuous development of the drawing office and our employees. We have chosen to develop a quality assurance system because we think that we achieve the best possible quality in our project material through a stepped control system in which the employees have daily responsibility of their own work and the control of it.
As part of the quality assurance our employees also continuously receive in-service courses.
We have elaborated our quality assurance procedures in compliance with current legislation, and in each case the procedures are coordinated within the counselling group. A quality assurance book is elaborated for each building project.
Performing Quality Assurance
Start/Planning
At the beginning of a building project a quality handbook is elaborated which contains the overall guidelines for the project. The quality plan herein is an overview of a range of specially designed checklists where is noted who does what, and when it is done.
Simultaneously, for management purposes, a project and document journal is elaborated which will accompany the project through all phases.
Step 1 - Daily Quality Assurance
To be used every day by all project members through the different project phases.
The checklists are elaborated to inform and assist each employee of both the project development and quality assurance.
Step 2 - Project Investigation
Prior to handing over the project material to the builder, we investigate the project thoroughly - among other things by the use of checklists. An employee, who is not part of the project, carry out the control.
Step 3 - Overall Quality Assurance
As final control an overall investigation of quality papers related to the building project with control of documentation is performed. Then the book is ready to be handed over to the builder.
